FT. MYERS, Fla. - Carroll University (4-6, 0-0 CCIW) continued to struggle on the offensive end as they dropped a 6-2 decision to Skidmore College (5-3) on Friday afternoon.

Skidmore would tally single runs in the first and second innings and three more in the fourth to build a 5-0 lead.  A single run in the seventh would push the advantage to 6-0.

The Pio offense would struggle to get the big hit all day. Carroll would pound out nine hits and draw five walks in the game, but would strand eleven base runners on the day.

The Pioneers would get on the board in the ninth as Drew Tanck would drive the ball over the right field wall for Carroll's first run of the game.  Jake Langford would drive in Brady Durni with two outs in the ninth inning, but the Pios would get no closer, falling 6-2.

Langford would finish the day 2x5 with the RBI and Hunter Frey would collect three hits in the loss.

Sophomore Cam Godinsky would work five strong innings in relief, striking out four and surrendering just three earned runs.
