WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to Milwaukee School of Engineering 21-0 in a nonconference game at Schneider Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was the second straight nonconference loss and third in the last four games for Carroll, which dropped to 3-6 overall.
The Pioneers were outshot 52-11 in the contest, including a crucial 46-5 shot-on-goal margin.
MSOE, which won for the first time this season to improve to 1-4 overall, generated eight unanswered goals in the first half - highlighted by three in the opening quarter - to pull away.
Freshman midfielder Jack Collins scored a game-high five goals for the Raiders, who posted their second highest goal total in program history. Junior attackman Clay Gustafson and freshman attackman Collin Fisher each had four goals.
Freshman attackman Jeff Schultz (Franklin, Wis.) and freshman midfielder Dannon Ivey (Grass Valley, Calif.) each generated four shots and goalkeeper Abe Escrada (Sammamish, Wash.) registered 18 saves for Carroll, which is slated to host Illinois Wesleyan in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin opener Saturday.
