ELMHURST, Ill. - The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to Elmhurst College 21-1 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Langhorst Field on Saturday.
Freshman midfielder Dannon Ivey (Grass Valley, Calif.) scored on an assist from sophomore attackman Paul Kerchberger (Deer Park, Ill.) in the second quarter for Carroll, which dropped to 0-2 in the conference standings and 4-8 overall.
The Pioneers were outshot 40-6 - including a 33-5 shot-on-goal margin.
Sophomore attackman Mac Harden had a game-high five goals for Elmhurst, which won its conference opener and improved to 5-6 overall.
The Bluejays scored eight unanswered goals in the decisive first quarter.
