NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to Valley City State University 25-17, 26-24, 25-21 to complete the first day of the season-opening St. Olaf-Carleton Invitational on Friday.
Senior outside hitter Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) and junior middle blocker Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) each had a team-best five kills for Carroll, which dropped to 1-1 overall.
Junior outside hitter Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) added 22 digs for the Pioneers, who yielded 13 service aces in the contest.
