RIPON, Wis. - Sophomore outside hitter
Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) had a team-high 10 kills and three service aces to lead the Carroll University women's volleyball team to a 15-25, 25-16, 25-21, 26-24 victory over Marian University in a nonconference dual to begin the final day of the Red Hawk Invitational at Ripon College on Saturday afternoon.
It was the third consecutive victory in the tournament for Carroll, which has won four of its last five and improved to 5-7 overall.Â
Junior middle blocker
Karley Wolf (Roselle, Ill.) followed with six kills and six blocks for the Pioneers, who had eight aces, 11 blocks and 33 assists. Junior outside hitter
Josie Wierzal (Frankfort, Ill.) also collected six kills with junior defensive specialist
Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) contributing two aces and 14 digs. Sophomore setter
Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added 10 digs and 19 assists.
