LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Carroll University men's soccer team lost to Lake Forest College 3-2 in a hard-fought, physical nonconference game at Farwell Field on Sunday afternoon.
It was the third one-goal loss of the season and snapped a string of back-to-back victories for Carroll, which dropped to 2-5-1 overall.
As the game remained tied 2-2 late in the second half, Lake Forest answered with the winning goal as junior forward Gaston Aubert scored off an assist from senior midfielder Osvaldo Lara Soria at the 88:03 mark.
Sophomore forward Lucas Geib and Seton Trostle each added a goal for the Foresters, who improved to 3-3-1 overall.

Issey Valadez (Milwaukee, Wis.) converted a penalty kick in the 54th minute for Carroll, which was outshot 14-12 - including a crucial 7-6 shot-on-goal margin. Sophomore midfielder
