APPLETON, Wis. - Senior outside hitter
Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) had a team-high 12 kills as the Carroll University women's volleyball team outlasted Lawrence University 24-26, 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12 in a hard-fought, spirited five-set nonconference dual meet Thursday night.
It was the second five-set victory of the season for Carroll, which has won five of its last six and improved to 7-8 overall.
The come-from-behind effort took on added significance as it not only showcased the team's progression but equaled last season's victory total in the process.

Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) delivered a critical kill to seize the momentum.
The Pioneers clinched a victory on the next point, taking advantage of a match-ending Lawrence ball-handling error.

Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) contributed 11 kills and four blocks for Carroll, which was facing its former Midwest Conference rival. Mrotek  followed with nine kills and 13 digs.

Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.), the reigning CCIW Defensive Player of the Week, had 32 digs and sophomore setter
Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) added 24 assists for the Pioneers, who had 53 kills, seven service aces, 78 digs and 49 assists.
Junior outside hitter Arianna Neumeyer had 11 kills, 20 digs, seven blocks and two aces for Lawrence, which dropped to 5-11 overall.
