LA CROSSE, Wis. - The Carroll University football team lost to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 41-6 in a nonconference game at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
UW-La Crosse, which improved to 3-0 overall, scored 24 unanswered in the first half - including 10 straight points in the decisive opening quarter.
Senior quarterback Tarek Yaeggi completed 22 of 28 passes for 293 yards and a touchdown for UW-La Crosse, which amassed 26 first downs and 481 yards of total offense.
Junior quarterback
Colton Bahling (Belvidere, Ill.) completed 10 of 21 passes for 79 yards and scored on a 1-yard run with 38 seconds remaining in the third quarter to cap an eight-minute 15-play, 75-yard drive for Carroll, which dropped to 1-2 overall.
Senior wide receiver
Brandon Ehrke (Deerfield, Wis.) had for receptions for 54 yards and junior wide receiver
Parker Zitzke (Waukesha, Wis.) had five catches for 22 yards for the Pioneers, who finished
with 13 first downs and 189 yards. Freshman running back
Brant Sanderfoot (Kaukauna, Wis.) was the team's leading rusher with eight carries for 49 yards.Â

Linzy Hudson (Milwaukee, Wis.) had a team-high 13 tackles to pace the Carroll defense.
