Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team captured the first set but struggled to maintain the momentum as it lost to Augustana College 19-25, 25-14, 29-27, 25-23 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual meet Tuesday night.
Sophomore outside hitter
Sydney Wilkins (Portage, Ind.) contributed a team-high 11 kills, 17 digs and two service aces for Carroll, which dropped to 0-2 in the conference standings and 7-10 overall.
Senior outside hitter
Dana Voltolina (St. Charles, Ill.) followed with 10 kills and sophomore middle blocker
Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) had seven kills for the Pioneers, who continued to demonstrate their progress by generating 43 kills, 79 digs, 39 assists, seven blocks and five aces. Freshman middle blocker
Melanie Barrios (Bolingbrook, Ill.) had 10 digs, four blocks and two aces.
Junior defensive specialist
Amanda Hahn (Itasca, Ill.) collected 22 digs with sophomore setter
Jennilyn Joy Cave (Bolingbrook, Ill.) adding 22 assists.
Senior outside hitter Emily Westermeyer had a meet-best 18 kills, 11 digs and two blocks to lead Augustana, which improved to 1-1 in conference and 9-7 overall.
