Box Score BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Carroll University men's soccer team lost to Illinois Wesleyan 1-0 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Neis Field on Saturday afternoon.
It was the fourth loss by a one-goal margin for Carroll, which entered the contest riding the momentum of back-to-back victories but dropped to 1-5 in the conference standings and 2-12-2 overall.
Junior midfielder Patrick Hickey scored the winning goal off an assist from senior midfielder Ben Nielsen at the 79:27 mark for Illinois Wesleyan, which improved to 2-4 in league and 9-5 overall with the Senior Day outing.
The Titans outshot Carroll by a 19-4 margin, including an 8-2 shot-on-goal advantage.

Shea Connell (Alfaz Del Pi, Spain) and sophomore defender
Tate Resch-Gauger (Appleton, Wis.) each had a shot-on-goal for the Pioneers.
Senior goalkeeper
Connor Thompson (Kent, Wash.) registered seven saves in playing the entire 90 minutes.
