WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University men's soccer team lost to No. 19-ranked North Park University 5-0 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin home-field finale at Schneider Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was the second consecutive conference loss for Carroll, which dropped to 1-6 in the league standings and 2-13-2 overall.
North Park, which won its seventh straight to improve to 6-1 in conference and 14-2 overall, scored three times within the opening 23 minutes of the contest.
Freshman forward Joachim Hoff contributed two goals for the Vikings, who outshot Carroll 13-4 - including a 7-2 shot-on-goal advantage. Junior defender Gustav Leander, sophomore midfielder Peder Olsen and sophomore forward Erik Lundeen each added a goal.
North Park collected what became the eventual game-winning goal as Leander scored off an assist from freshman midfielder Deni Cresto at the 5:59 mark.
