WAUKESHA, Wis. - Junior forward Shea Connell (Alfaz Del Pi, Spain) scored on a penalty kick at the 69:06 mark as the Carroll University men's soccer team lost to North Central College 4-1 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Schneider Stadium on Saturday night.
It was the fifth home-field loss of the season for Carroll, which dropped to 0-3 in the conference standings and 0-10-2 overall.
Senior forward/midfielder Gavin Sanchez, senior midfielder Ivan Bohorquez, junior forward Steven Abalos and junior midfielder Jack Bullard each scored a goal for North Central, which improved to 3-1 in league and 8-3 overall.
Bohorquez scored what became the winning goal off an assist from Austin Lombardi in the 37th minute for the Cardinals, who outshot Carroll 15-5 - including an 11-3 shot-on-goal advantage.
Freshman goalkeeper Peter Villafuerte (Milwaukee, Wis.) registered six saves in playing the entire 90 minutes.
