PORTLAND, Oregon - The Carroll University women's soccer team played to a 2-2 tie with Lewis & Clark College after 110 minutes (including 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtimes) in a nonconference game at Griswold Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Senior forward/midfielder Delaney Pruitt (Ringwood, Ill.) scored two first-half goals to lead Carroll, which is currently 0-1-1 overall following the second game of its Oregon fall trip.
Pruitt's first goal came on a penalty kick at the 10:18 mark for the Pioneers, who were outshot 21-13 - including a 13-10 shot-on-goal margin. Her second goal came off an assist from freshman midfielder Madison Belo (Algonquin, Ill.) in the 17th minute.
Freshman forward Ella Viesturs scored off an assist from junior forward Anna Saucedo to trim the deficit to 2-1 at the 26:15 mark. Saucedo tied the game on an assist from Viesturs in the 71st minute to ultimately force overtime.
Senior goalkeeper Sabrina Sieger (Waukesha, Wis.) registered 11 saves in playing the entire 110 minutes for Carroll.
