Box Score STEVENS POINT, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to Bethel University 22-25, 25-16, 25-14, 25-13 in a nonconference dual meet to open the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Invitational on Friday evening.
It was the third nonconference road loss for Carroll, which dropped to 3-3 overall.
Despite a strong first-set victory powered by 13 kills and an impressive .267 hitting percentage, the Pioneers struggled to sustain the momentum for the remainder of the match.
Bethel, which improved to 5-1 overall, led 12-9 in the pivotal third set before responding with a momentum-shifting 8-1 run to pull away.
Senior outside hitter Brooke Olstad had a team-high 12 kills and three blocks to lead the Royals, who amassed 45 kills, 11 service aces and seven blocks in the contest.
