Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. - Junior forward
Kale Maupin (Peotone, Ill.) contributed 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a steal to help lead the Carroll University men's basketball team to a tough, gritty 66-61 victory over North Park University in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game Wednesday night.
It was the third conference victory of the season for Carroll, which improved to 3-7 in the league standings and 7-12 overall.
The Pioneers led 28-26 at intermission and outscored North Park by a 38-35 margin in the decisive second half.
Senior forward
Tyler Ingebrigtsen (Elk Grove, Ill.) had 12 points and six rebounds for Carroll, which made four baskets from 3-point range, 16 of 21 free throws and shot 43.4 percent from field-goal range.
The Pioneers showcased their talent, depth and balance with 10 players reaching the scoring column.
Sophomore guard
Ryan Clarey (Pewaukee, Wis.) followed with nine points, a team-best seven assists and six rebounds for Carroll, which generated 17 assists. Junior guard
Nick Penny (Lake Zurich, Ill.) chipped in eight points, three steals and a blocked shot.
Penny converted three free throws within the final 30 seconds to help preserve a victory for the Pioneers.

Charlie Soule (Oregon, Wis.) each had seven points with senior forward
Anthony Marlowe (South Milwaukee, Wis.) adding five points.
Sophomore guard Toby Marek scored a game-high 18 points for North Park, which dropped to 2-8 in conference and 4-15 overall. Sophomore forward Matt Szuba had 11 points with three 3-pointers and three blocked shots for the Vikings, who made 10 3-pointers, 13 of 18 free throws and shot 44.2 percent from the field.
