Bloomington, Ill. – The Carroll University Pioneers women's tennis team won their final dual match of the fall against Illinois Wesleyan today. The women won by a score of 8-1, capping off a three match win streak and winning six out of their last seven.
In doubles, the women once again racked up three victories.

Carolyn Merkatoris won their matches both by 8 games to 3.

Erika Bosman finished their match against a little tougher competition, but still came out on top 8-5.
In singles, five of six pioneers won their match. Gaedtke started off strong in her first set winning 6-3, but her fast start wasn't enough, falling 2-6, 2-10 in the remaining sets. Merkatoris started off with a first set win as well (6-3), but fell without winning a game in the next set (6-0). In the tiebreaker, she pulled off the victory 10-7. Krueger (6-1, 6-1),
Lora Leach (6-4, 6-1), Papp (6-2, 6-3), and Bosman (6-1, 6-0) all finished in straight sets.
The women will begin play at the CCIW tournament Thursday, Oct. 19, hosted by Carroll University. The women will look to finish higher than their 7
