Waukesha, Wis. – The Carroll University women's tennis team were riding a three game winning streak heading into the day, but were stopped from advancing that streak by Augustana today. The Pioneers fell 8-1.
 
The doubles paring of Grace Krueger (Geneva, Ill.)/Ashley LaBelle (Mukwonago, Wis.) won the only match of the day against Augustana's number one doubles group with a score of 8-4. The Pioneers other two pairings of Maya Gaedtke (Antigo, Wis.)/Carolyn Merkatoris (De Pere, Wis.) and Rachel Papp (Franklin, Wis.)/Erika Bosman (De Pere, Wis.) fell today by scores of 3-8.
 
In singles, the Pios were overwhelmed by the undefeated Vikings. LaBelle put pressure on Augustana's Badawi in her first set, but eventually fell 5-7, 1-6. Krueger (3-6, 1-6), Gaedtke (0-6, 1-6), Merkatoris (0-6, 0-6), Lora Leach (East Troy, Wis.) (1-6, 2-6), and Rachel Papp (0-6, 3-6) all fell in straight sets.
