WAUKESHA, Wis. - Sophomore midfielder
Clara Jelacic (Waukesha, Wis.) contributed a game-high six goals, fielded seven ground balls, caused six turnovers and had an assist as the high-powered Carroll University women's lacrosse team defeated University of Dubuque 17-0 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Schneider Stadium on Wednesday night.
It was the second consecutive shutout victory for Carroll, which won its third straight to improve to 2-0 in the highly contested conference standings and 8-2 overall.
The high-octane Pioneers have combined to outscore their first two conference opponents by a statement-making 40-0 margin.
With the standout individual performance, Jelacic became the second player in program history to score 100 career goals, joining teammateÂ
Ariannah Ritter (Sun Prairie, Wis.) who reached the prestigious milestone earlier this season.
Carroll wasn't distracted by the snow, cold or slick field conditions and scored 10 goals in the decisive first half, including seven in the opening eight minutes.
Senior midfielder/defender
Delaney Pruitt (Ringwood, Ill.) followed with a season-high four goals, three assists, three groundballs, three caused turnovers and converted a free-position shot for the Pioneers, who outshot Univ. of  Dubuque 51-1 - including a dominant 36-0 shot-on-goal advantage.
Sophomore midfielder
Michaela Johnson (Mukwonago, Wis.) registered a hat trick with a single-game program-record five assists, 10 groundballs and won seven draw controls. Senior attacker
Amanda Ferr (Franklin, Wis.) had two goals with Ritter and freshman attacker
Rachel Fordham (Waukesha, Wis.) each added a goal.Â
