NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Carroll University (10-18, 2-10 CCIW) dropped both ends of a Tuesday afternoon double-header to North Central College (20-7, 10-3 CCIW) by final scores of 12-1 and 16-7.
The North Central offense was clicking through both ends of the double-dip. The Cardinals would combine for 28 run on 34 hits on the afternoon.
The lone Carroll highlight was a six run inning to start the second game on seven hits to take the early lead.
Pio game two starting pitcher Andrew Stone was rolling along, giving up just a solo shot through the first three innings, but a line drive off his leg would end his day prematurely after three.
Carroll will return to action on Friday as the host Elmhurst College in a double-header starting at 1pm.
