Pioneers earn sweep to begin final day of tournament

Dunnam, Noonan each finish with seven kills as Carroll defeats Oswego State in UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic

Box Score OSHKOSH, Wis. - Senior middle blocker Erika Dunnam (Shawano, Wis.) and junior middle blocker Rachel Noonan (Crystal Lake, Ill.) each finished with seven kills as the Carroll University women's volleyball team swept Oswego State 25-16, 25-12, 25-10 to begin the final day of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic at Kolf Sports Center on Saturday morning.
It was the second dual-meet sweep of the season for Carroll, which improved to 2-1 in the two-day tournament and 4-3 overall.
Senior outside hitter Cassidy Mrotek (Manitowoc, Wis.) followed with six kills, seven digs and two service aces for the Pioneers, who set the tone with a momentum-building 12 kills and a .270 hitting percentage in the opening set. Senior outside hitter Kylie Mueller (Fox Lake, Ill.) contributed five kills, three digs, three assists and an ace with senior setter Emma Przeslicke (Evergreen Park, Ill.) adding 10 assists and an ace.
Sarah Massey had a team-high six kills for Oswego State, which committed 24 errors in the showdown and dropped to 4-2 overall.
