Pioneers continue to roll

Campbell scores two goals as Carroll defeats Beloit 3-0 to earn third straight victory

Box Score BELOIT, Wis. - Junior forward Brookelyn Campbell (Oconomowoc, Wis.) scored two goals, including what became the winning shot off an assist from sophomore midfielder Kaitlyn Zanon (Waukesha, Wis.) at the 65:22 mark, as the Carroll University women's soccer team defeated Beloit College 3-0 in a nonconference game at Strong Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon.
It was the first road victory of the season and second consecutive shutout for Carroll, which won its third straight to improve to 3-1 overall.
Following a scoreless first half, the Pioneers responded by scoring three unanswered goals over the course of the final 45 minutes.
Freshman midfielder/forward Simone Lippmann (Lindenhurst, Ill.) followed with a goal on an assist from junior midfielder/forward Katie Baertsch (Lake Villa, Ill.) in the 68th minute for Carroll, which outshot the Buccaneers 22-0 - maintaining a dominant 13-0 shot-on-goal margin.
Campbell added an unassisted goal in the 88th minute for Carroll, which has combined to outscore its last three opponents 8-1.
Beloit dropped to 0-3 overall.
