Pleasant Prairie, Wis.—The Carroll University Swimming and Diving programs set numerous lifetime and season best times on the first day of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Swimming and Diving Championships Thursday at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex.
Lindsey Coons highlighted the day with her record-breaking prelim time of 5:16.25 in the 500 yard freestyle. She went on to tie that time Thursday night in the finals, she finished fourth in the event.
Ingrid Hay set a new lifetime best in the 200 yard IM race with a time of 2:11.65, securing her a seventh place finish in the A-finals. Her time was just .5 off the 200 IM Carroll record.
The men's 400 medley relay was able to drop eight seconds off their season best time as well. Below are all the finals finishes from day one. Day two begins on Friday.
