WAUKESHA, Wis. -- The Carroll University men's soccer team gave the No. 23 North Park Vikings a tough match in the first half, but the Vikings flashed the offense and scored three goals to win 4-0 against the Pioneers.
The Pioneers (7-4-1, 0-2-1 CCIW) struggled on offense managing to only get three shots the whole night. Carroll couldn't manage to get a corner kick either against the strong North Park team.
Zane Walters recorded the first Pio shot in the 17
th minute, but the attempt sailed wide left. After a North Park Foul,
Ethan Pequignot's shot attempt missed left of the goal as well. North Park scored their first in the 21
st minute. Off the bench,
Ben Hetzel tallied a shot that missed wide left too. The Vikings had possession for 69% of the first half.
The flood gates opened in the second half, with goals from North Park in the 62
nd, 64
th, and 65
th minutes. Carroll made mass substitutions towards the end of the contest and did not record a shot the entire second half.
Carroll will host Millikin on Saturday, October 16 at 7:30 PM as Carroll University celebrates Homecoming.
