MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team won back-to-back matches on the final day of competition at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational on Saturday, defeating Wheaton College 25-15, 24-26, 25-17, 25-19 and sweeping Mount Mary University 25-11, 25-17, 25-14.
Carroll, which posted a 2-1 record in the two-day invite, improved to 8-20 overall.
DUAL 1
Peyton Frost contributed a team-high 14 kills and two blocks to lead Carroll versus Wheaton.Â
Ashley Konecki and
Katie Jensen each followed with 11 kills for the Pioneers, who finished with 50 kills, 13 service aces, 63 digs and 45 assists.
Kloe Longtin contributed 14 digs and three aces,
Cathleen Flannery had 13 digs, two aces and two assists with
Emily Schliesman adding three aces and 42 assists.
The Pioneers generated 13 kills with three errors and a .312 hitting percentage in the momentum-shifting first-set.
DUAL 2
Flannery generated a team-best 11 kills for Carroll against Mount Mary.Â
Konecki followed with 10 kills, three aces and a block for Carroll, which finished with 44 kills and a .290 hitting percentage in the sweep.
Jensen collected six kills, Longtin had 10 digs and three aces with Schliesman adding six digs and 14 assists.
