MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Carroll University women's soccer team recorded its second shout out of the season on Sunday afternoon with a 5-0 victory over the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors.
Elizabeth Weinberg scored twice for the Pioneers. With the win, Head Coach
Susie Foster recorded her 100
th career win with Carroll University.
The Pioneers (4-0-1, 0-0 CCIW) ripped off 24 shots, 14 of which were on goal compared to WLC's 9.
Grace Tumilty, who scored and assisted on a Pio goal, led with five shots including two on goal in 59 minutes. Carroll's
Rachel Jenewein and
Caitlin Fitzsimons tallied three saves a piece in the combined shut out.
Carroll wasted no time getting out in front, forcing a corner within the first minute of the game, and then Weinberg scoring unassisted in the third minute.
Maddie Belo followed up in the 14
th minute with a rebounded goal after a Tumilty shot on goal was saved and deflected.
Tumilty's shots on goal finally paid off, after she scored 41 seconds into the second half on a ball from Simone Lippman. In the 48
th minute, Weinberg netted her second of the game off a pass from
Kaitlyn Zanon to make it a 4-0 ballgame.

Carroll gets back on the road and heads North for Lawrence University on Wednesday night. The Pios are 13-3-1 against Lawrence since 2001.
