WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's soccer team didn't show any signs of rust in the 4-0 win over Lakeland University on Wednesday night in Schneider Stadium. The Pioneers scored two goals in each half en route to the victory. Senior
Maddie Belo assisted on two goals, while sophomore
Elizabeth Weinberg, Freshman
Grace Tumilty, Junior Simone Lippman, and Sophomore
Olivia Warneke scored a goal each. Tumilty recorded a team-high six shots and three on goal.
The Pioneers (1-0-0, 0-0-0 CCIW) outshot the Muskies 23-4, including 14-2 shots on goal. Graduate student

Just on the other side of the 20-minute mark, Weinberg placed a ball low left into the goal off the foot of Belo. The Pioneers continued to attack, and at the 38' mark, Tumilty scored high left after handling the dribbling on her own.
Belo managed to make an open shot for herself quickly into the second half but passed it off to Lippmann to pick up her second assist of the night. Warneke and
Abby Paglia connected on a through ball to put the final nail in the coffin with just over three minutes to play.
The Pioneers get their plane tickets ready for Virginia on Sunday, Sept. 5. The first stop of the two-game road trip lies in Danville with a battle against Averett University.
