WHITEWATER, Wis. – Ashley LaBelle and Maya Gaedtke of Carroll women's tennis advanced to day two of the ITA Midwest Regional Doubles Tournament. LaBelle and Gaedtke, one of 50 doubles teams participating, upset the number two seed Grinnell in the first round, 8-6. LaBelle and Gaedtke will face either the 12^th seeded UW-Whitewater duo or a duo from Gustavus Saturday, Sept. 25 at 1:30 PM.
 
Other Pios playing into Saturday in the semi-finals include Madison Ostrander in the Midwest open singles draw, after winning two matches today. Carolyn Merkatoris and Francesa Grimes advanced as well to the semis after two wins today.  Ostrander plays on Saturday at 10:30 AM, while Merkatoris and Grimes face their opponents at 1:30 PM.
