CHICAGO, Ill. – The Carroll University men's soccer team ended the regular season with a 0-4 loss to formerly National ranked North Park on Wednesday night on the road. 

The Pioneers (8-10, 3-5 CCIW) were out shot 30-10 by the Vikings, as Tyler Hanson came away with 11 saves in at goal. Marti Solanellas Vilella led the group with three shots. The Pioneers kept the game close in the first half, with only a five-shot difference between the teams. The Vikings scored all four of their goals in the second half. 

Carroll started the evening with pressure, taking the first corner and two shots of the game. Hanson made five saves in the first 45 minutes, some of which were acrobatic. The Vikings put themselves on the scoreboard within the first five minutes of the second half on a penalty kick goal. The Vikings scored again in the 67th, 75th, and 76th minute to put the Pios away. 

Carroll enters the post-season for the first time since 2015 on Saturday, October 29 as the #6 seed in the CCIW Men's Soccer Tournament. The Pioneers will head back to Chicago and play the #3 seeded North Park at 5 PM.
