Kaitlin Gawelski and
Courtney Kirley each contributed a team-high 10 kills as the Carroll University women's volleyball team swept Benedictine University 25-20, 25-16, 25-18 in the opening round of the Wisconsin Lutheran College Invitational at the Time of Grace Center on Friday night.
It was the fifth dual sweep of the season for Carroll, which earned its third consecutive victory and improved to 14-13 overall.Â
Peyton Frost followed with nine kills, 10 digs and a service ace for the Pioneers, who generated double-digit kills in all three sets (including a meet-high 18 kills and only three errors in the pivotal second set).
Katie Jensen had nine kills, four digs and three blocks.
Alianiz Rivera-Rosado registered 10 digs,
Grace Perret had two aces and seven digs and
Cora Riffle added two aces and 23 assists.
