WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's swimming and diving team defeated the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh 107-82 in a nonconference dual meet at Van Male Natatorium on Saturday.
It was the home opener and first official competition in the newly renovated, refurbished pool facility for Carroll, which improved to 1-1 overall with the Senior Day effort (honoring the contributions of
Elena Faia,
Anina Lee,
Kara Loy,
Halle Peterson,
Brooke Wills and
Ericka Beckman).
The Pioneers showcased their talent, depth and balance by winning four events and placing second in seven others in the effort.
Josie Peterson won the 50 freestyle (24.83),
Chopper Ceshker was first in the 1,650 freestyle (20:20.56) and
Nicole Johnson added a victory in the 200 individual medley (2:30.14).
The Pioneers' other victory came in the 400 freestyle relay (3:54.02).
