WINSTON-SALEM, NC. – Senior Jamie Pankratz of Carroll University women's indoor track and field earned third place in the 2022 NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field National Championships in the women's weight throw event. This is the first All-American in the event since Emily Uitenbroek was named All-American in 2020.

Pankratz's first two throws of the event landed at 16.83 and 16.84 meters. On her third throw, while sitting near the cut line to make finals, Pankratz unleashed a monstrous 18.59-meter throw, shattering the previous school record. Pankratz went into finals in second place. After a fault on throw four, Pankratz's fifth throw landed 17.93 meters out, the second-best throw of her career. Pankratz was leapfrogged into third place and faulted on her final attempt.
