RIPON, Wis. – A group of Carroll University men's indoor track and field student-athletes competed at the Ripon Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday.
Peter Marra recorded a personal best in the 60-meter hurdles, recording an 8.62 in the finals of the event to take fourth.
Nathan Raatz and
Zach Benes competed in the 800-meter run. Raatz finished with a personal best 1:56.78, while Benes was right behind with a 1:59.48.
Steven Hermsen and Jimmy Hinkley both attempted to advance their national rankings in the weight throw. Hermsen finished with a long throw of 17.74 meters, while Hinkley followed up with a 16.68 meter throw. Hermsen also finished with a distance of 14.05 meters in the shot put.
The official list of student-athletes ot qualify for the NCAA DIII Indoor Track and Field Championships will be announced on Sunday, March 6 at 7 PM EST.
