RIPON, Wis. – A group of Carroll University women's indoor track and field student-athletes competed at the Ripon Last Chance Qualifier on Saturday.
The Carroll DMR team comprised of
Abbey Casey,
Elizabeth Reddeman,
Alli Spitzer, and
Abby Brinkman broke the Carroll school record with a new time of 12:27.35. three of the four Pioneers on the team were a part of the previous record-breaking group.
Mary Quinn finished in fourth place in the 60-meter hurdles, coming away with a finals time of 9.88 seconds.
Jessica Mueller reached 3.25 meters in her afternoon in the pole vault event.
Jamie Pankratz hit a PR in the weigh throw event, finishing in first-place with a toss of 17.88 meters.
Maria Falk also recorded a personal record in the shot put, but it was not enough to advance her high enough in the national rankings to qualify for Nationals.
Vanessa Uitenbroek finished with a long throw of 13.18 meters.
The official group of NCAA Indoor Track and Field qualifiers will be announced on Sunday, March 6 at 7 PM EST.
