WAUKESHA, Wis. – Members of the Carroll University women's track and field team competed in the final last chance meets of the season to improve on their personal bests going into the national championships.
 
At the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier, Vanessa Uitenbroek broke the school record in the women's discus throw with a throw of 48.93 meters on her first throw of the evening. Not far behind her, Cate Gudaitis hit a two-meter PR with a throw of 44.44 meters. In the shot put, V. Uitenbroek finished with a final distance of 13.49 after her first attempt, but then fouled on all remainder of her throws. Maria Falk finished sixth with a throw of 12.53 meters. Emily Uitenbroek surpassed 57 meters in the hammer throw with a final distance of 57.97 meters for a new season best. Jamie Pankratz only completed one legal throw that went 43.46 meters.
 
At the Augustana Midwest Twilight meet, Elizabeth Reddeman finished the 3000m Steeplechase event with a two-second PR and the new school record in the event with a time of 11:25.29.
