GENEVA, Ohio – Jimmy Hinkley of Carroll University men's track and field finished 14^th in the hammer throw event at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Hinkley tossed his implement 54.41 meters.
 
Hinkley, a senior from Grayslake, Illinois, hit the mark on his third attempt in prelims to finish the first flight in seventh place. Hinkley missed the finals by 1.4 meters. This was Hinkley's first National meet.
