CHICAGO, Ill. - The Carroll University women's volleyball team lost to league champion and No. 15-ranked North Park University 25-18, 25-16, 20-25, 25-18 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin dual meet Saturday.
It was the fifth four-set loss of the year for Carroll, which ended the season 1-7 in the conference standings and 14-14 overall.
Kaitlin Gawelski finished with 13 kills, 13 digs and two assists for the Pioneers, who generated double-digit kills in two sets including 15 kills and .250 hitting percentage in claiming a third-set victory.
Katie Jensen followed with 13 kills and three blocks for Carroll, which combined for 40 kills, seven blocks, 53 digs and 39 assists.
Peyton Frost contributed eight kills,
Rebekah Andreae registered six blocks and
Taylor Raley had 13 digs.
Maggie McGough had 11 digs and
Payton Depies added 32 assists.
Adriana Rodriguez finished with 17 kills to lead North Park, which concluded the regular season 8-0 in league and 23-6 overall to earn the top seed in the prestigious upcoming CCIW Tournament. The Vikings had 19 service aces in the contest.
