NEW BERLIN, Wis. - The Carroll University women's tennis team lost to Concordia University Wisconsin 7-2 in a nonconference dual meet at the Princeton Club on Friday night.
It was the first dual competition of 2023 for Carroll, which dropped to 7-6 overall in beginning the second half of the season.
Carroll earned a gritty, three-set victory at No. 5 singles as
Madison Ostrander defeated Mia Andrae 6-1, 5-7 (10-7).
Ostrander, a junior from Batavia, Ill., has won four of her last five individual matches and improved to 6-6 overall.
The No. 2 doubles team of
Sophia Dekker and
Aalaiya Jacklin added an 8-3 victory, winning its second straight to improve to 7-4 overall.
