GLENDALE, Wis. - Carroll squared off with Concordia (Wis.) in the battle for "The Oktoberfest Cup" at Bavarian Soccer Complex Friday night, with Concordia pulling out a 3-0 victory. Despite the loss, Carroll out-shot Concordia by a 13-7 margin, with each team recording four shots on goal.

Concordia (2-1) broke a scoreless tie just one and a half minutes after halftime on a Jacob Fuson goal. Fuson would add another goal two minutes later to give the Falcons some breathing room. They would add another insurance goal in the 62nd minute when Ivan Cuellar scored on an assist from Vladimir Campos.

Jason Brunger played all 90 minutes at Goal Keeper for the Pioneers, making one save. His counterpart, Jeremy Munoz also played the entire game for Concordia, recording four saves on the night.

The Pios will try to rebound on Sunday when they'll travel to St. Norbert College. That game will begin at Noon in De Pere, Wis.
