HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Carroll University women's tennis team completed its Spring Break trip with a 9-0 loss to high-powered East Texas Baptist University in a non-conference dual meet at Hilton Head Resort on Wednesday morning.
It was the third and final non-conference dual of the road trip for Carroll, which dropped to 6-10 overall.
East Texas Baptist, which improved to 8-0 overall, was powered by the strength of six straight-set victories in the singles flight.

Katherine Trifilio lost an intriguing battle at No. 2 doubles for Carroll, falling to Bailey Smith and Jayde Childress 8-6.
The Pioneers are scheduled to face Wartburg College in a home-court non-conference dual at the Jean Kilgour-Trailblazer Tennis Complex on March 23.
