Pioneers Conclude Highly Productive Season

Carroll eliminated from prestigious four-team double-elimination CCIW Championships with back-to-back losses to high-powered Marian and Carthage

RESULTS

MUKWONAGO, Wis.
- The Carroll University women's bowling team concluded its highly productive season by competing in the prestigious four-team College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Championships at Jay's Lanes on Saturday.

It was a double-elimination head-to-head match-play tournament competition (consisting of both traditional and baker scoring formats).

Fourth-seeded Carroll lost to high-powered league front-runner and top-seeded Marian College by a combined total of 1,912-1,713 (947-911 in traditional scoring and 965-802 in the baker format).
The Pioneers were eliminated with a second-round loss to second-seeded longtime intra-state league rival Carthage College, falling 1,726-1,670 (886-835 in traditional play and 840-835 in baker scoring).

Ava Butt, a freshman from Wautoma, Wis., received second-team all-conference honors this year for Carroll. Hannah Bartlett, a sophomore from Aurora, Ill., earned the CCIW RESPECT Award for the Pioneers.
