FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Carroll University men's golf team took on longtime former Midwest Conference intra-state rival St. Norbert College in the annual Hatchet Match at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Tuesday, falling by a 4-1 margin.
Nathan Thompson fired a 3-under par 69 in traditional stroke play as St. Norbert claimed a victory in the prestigious head-to-head competition for the third consecutive year. The Green Knights claimed four of the top five spots on the leader board.
Evan Bridges tied for second overall and was the top individual finisher for Carroll, carding a 1-over par 73 on the challenging par 72, 6,511-yard course.Â
