The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its Football Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday for non-conferences games played during weeks one and two of the 2024 season, with Carroll receiving two of the three awards. Linebacker
Damon Loker was selected as the Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, while Punter
Noah Streveler garnered Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week honors. Both players played a key role in Carroll's 28-16 win at UW-Stout, marking the Pioneers' first win against a WIAC team since 1978.
A senior from Kimberly, Wis., Loker tallied a team-high 11 tackles against UW-Stout (five unassisted). He also registered 1.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries, while spearheading the Pios' defensive effort which saw them limit the Blue Devils to just 91 rushing yards.
Named to the D3football.com Team of the Week last Monday, Streveler averaged 44.7 yards on seven punts in the Pioneers' season-opening victory, including a long of 56 yards. Three of the punts pinned Stout inside its own 20-yard line. A Senior from Stevens Point, Wis., Streveler also kicked off five times for an average of 60.6 yards per kickoff, including one touchback.
