FINAL RESULTS
WAUKESHA, Wis. -Â Carroll's men's and women's swim teams held their Senior Night on Friday against MSOE, with the Pio women earning a 127-38 victory against the Raiders, while the men fell by a score of 121-49. Carroll's two teams combined for 11 first-place finishes on the night, with three of those coming in the relay competition.
On the women's side, Carroll was led by
Josie Peterson and
Chopper Ceshker, who each finished with a pair of event wins. Peterson placed first in both the 100 Backstroke (1:05.59) and 100 Breaststroke (1:14.90), while Ceshker won both the 200 Freestyle (2:14.46) and the 500 Freestyle (5:58.63). Also earning a first-place finish on the women's side was
Erin Fixen in the 100 Freestyle (58.82) and
Kailee Sitter in the 100 Butterfly (1:07.20). In the 200 Yard Medley, Carroll's team of Peterson,
Morgan Toupal,
Carigan Tabor, and
Kelly Gordon swam a first-place time of 2:02.83. Toupal also teamed with Fixen,
Kaya Martin,
Alexandria Ostopowicz in the 200 Freestyle Relay to swim a winning time of 1:48.55.
Carroll's men's team was led by first place finishes from both Eddie McConnaha and
Thomas Rynne. McConnaha won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 47.51, while Rynne placed first in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 59.36. McConnaha also teamed up with Eli Griggs LeRoux,
Dylan Klang, and
Cole Faust to win the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:35.51.
The Pioneers will be in action again in a couple weeks when they'll take part in the annual Wisconsin Private College Championships in Kenosha, Wis., hosted by Carthage College. The diving competition will take place on January 31 at 6 p.m., with the swimming competition taking place at 11 a.m. on February 1 from the Koenitzer Aquatic Center.
