Women’s Soccer Drops CCIW Match to North Park, 3–0

WAUKESHA, Wis. - The Carroll University women's soccer team fell 3–0 to North Park on Saturday afternoon in a CCIW matchup at Schneider Stadium. The Pioneers (5-4-5, 2-3-1 CCIW) battled through a scoreless first half before the Vikings (8-6-0, 5-0-0 CCIW) pulled away with three goals in the final 27 minutes.

Carroll generated early chances, including shots from Addie Decker and Ellie Pierson in the opening 10 minutes, but North Park goalkeeper Paige MacRitchie turned away both attempts. The Pioneers finished the first half with four shots and held the Vikings to seven, keeping the game level at halftime.

North Park broke through in the 64th minute when Olivia Eriksson scored off a feed from Sofia Svensson. Just two minutes later, Caroline Sjøstedt doubled the lead with an unassisted strike. Svensson added her ninth goal of the season in the 88th minute to seal the win.

Carroll totaled seven shots, three on goal, led by Decker (three shots, two on target) and Natalie Namio (three attempts). Goalkeeper Nevaeh Darby made four saves while facing 17 shots. North Park controlled possession (56%) and held a 5–1 edge in corner kicks.

Carroll and North Park were tight for the first 60+ minutes of the game, and Carroll will look to utilize and build on that effort as they travel to Wheaton on Wednesday for another CCIW conference match as they head to the final stretch of the regular season.
