Brian Smith opened his collegiate campaign with a statement performance, winning the 200 meters in 22.55 at the Ripon Winter Open and anchoring Carroll's 4x400m "A" relay to a 3:34.99 victory. His 200m time, marked by a strong drive phase and controlled finish, currently ranks 27th in NCAA Division III. In the relay, Smith's closing leg sealed the win as the Pioneers outpaced the field. The freshman sprinter's combination of individual speed and relay poise set the tone for the men's squad on opening weekend.

Jenna Weis vaulted into the national conversation with a 3.55m (11'7¾") clearance to finish second in the pole vault at the Ripon Winter Open, placing her 8th nationally this week.The freshman's versatility and top-10 national vault made her one of the weekend's most impactful Pioneers.
