INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
RIPON, Wis. - Carroll's track & field teams traveled to Ripon College on Saturday to take part in the annual Dick Hendricks Invitational. The Pioneers recorded 31 PR and season-best times, as the Pio women finished in fourth place. Carroll's men's team finished sixth overall.
On the women's side, Carroll scored 59 team points. They were highlighted by
Vanessa Uitenbroek's performance in the shot put, winning the event with a distance of 14.06m (46-01.50), which is currently the fourth-best mark in Division-III. Fellow senior
Maria Falk wasn't far behind, finishing second in the event with a toss of 13.69m (44-11.00).
Rebekah Buboltz added a second-place finish in the 800m with a season-best time of 2:22.62, while also joining
Tirzah Losos, Anika Tollerud, and
Rianna Schultz to finish second in the 4x400 relay with a season-best time of 4:13.72. Senior
Grace Kelly added a third-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 14.19m (46-06.75), which was followed by teammate
Caroline Plasil's throw of 13.88m (45-06.50). Also faring well was
Clare Whitney with a Personal Best in the high jump, finishing fourth with a mark of 1.55m (5-01.00), and
Keagan Knue with a fifth-place finish in the mile run (5:39.80).
Katelyn Duber added a sixth-place finish in the triple jump (10.09m/33-01.25).
The Carroll men finished the meet with 34 team points. Leading the way for the Pioneers was
Brady Reusser, who continued his great season with a first-place throw in the shot put, recording a season-best mark of 14.26m (46-09.50). Reusser added a second-place finish in the weight throw with a distance of 14.08m (46-02.50). Charlie Quast added a third-place finish in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:08.91, while
Ethan Zilisch finished fifth in the High Jump (1.85m/6-00.75).
Carroll will be in action again next weekend when they will compete at UW-Oshkosh Saturday at 10 a.m. in what will be their final tune-up before the annual CCIW Indoor Championships.
