HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Carroll's women's tennis team put forth another dominating performance in their final spring break match against Baldwin Wallace Wednesday morning, winning 7-0, to cap off an unblemished Spring Break trip with a 3-0 record.
In doubles play, the Pioneers (9-6) swept Baldwin Wallace to earn the team point. At the top flight,
Natasa Pupovac and
Aalaiya Jacklin won 6-1, while
Katherine Trifilio and
Makayla Counsell did not miss a beat at the second flight with a 6-0 win. Finally, at three doubles,
Laurel Nelson and
Erin Horzewski teamed up to win 6-2.
The domination did not stop there, as the Pioneers also swept singles play. At the top spot, Pupovac won 6-1, 6-0, while Trifilio was victorious 6-0, 6-0 at the second flight. Counsell also won easily, 6-0, 6-0 at the fourth position, while Horzewski won 6-1, 6-1 iat number five singles.
Carroll will now travel back to Wisconsin, where they'll battle Wartburg College on March 23 in Waukesha, Wis.
