DE PERE, Wis. - Carroll's men's and women's track & field teams took a handful of student-athletes to the St. Norbert Open on Thursday afternoon. The Pioneer women scored 20 points to finish in fifth place, while Carroll's women also finished fifth, with 18 team points.

The meet was highlighted by a pair of Pioneer first-place finishes, as Nathan Raatz won the 800 meters with a time of 49.96, and Rebekah Buboltz won the 800 meters with a time of 2:24.68.

Raatz also placed second in the 200 meters (22.91) as the Pio men's only competitor. Carroll's women's team also saw Hana Smith and Rianna Schultz finish fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 400 meters with times of 62.80 and 63.14.

The Pios will send another handful of compeititors to North Central's First Chancce Invitational Friday at 10 a.m. in Naperville, Ill.
