HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Carroll's women's tennis team battled LeTourneau University Sunday night in the first match of their 2025 Spring Trip, earning a 4-3 victory.

The Pioneers claimed the doubles point with a win from the team of Natasa Pupovac and Kate Trifilio, who won by a 6-3 margin. The number three doubles team consisting of Aalaiya Jacklin and Erin Horzewski also was victorious, 7-5.

Heading into singles up 1-0, the Pioneers continued to roll. At number one and two singles, the Pios battled and despite losing the first set in each match, both Pupovac and Trifilo earned the win in a super tiebreaker. Makayla Counsell was able to record the clinching victory 8-2 in a superset.

Carroll's match against Gettyeburg College was canceled on Monday due to rain. They will be back in action Tuesday against Salve Regina at 10 a.m. EDT from Van Der Meer Tennis Center in Hilton Head, S.C.
