FINAL RESULTS

LA CROSSE, Wis. - Vanessa Uitenbroek and Ethan Zilisch represented Track & Field at the Uncaged Eagle Open on Friday evening, with both looking to bolster their resume as the season heads into the final stretch before the NCAA National Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Uitenbroek not only threw an outdoor seasons best in shot, improving her nationals qualifying mark by 11 centimeters, but also won the shot put event with her throw of 46-2.75. She also placed 15th in the discus and sixth in the hammer throw for the evening.

Zilisch tied his personal best from the indoor track & field season to set his outdoor personal best at 22-3.50.

Three more student athletes will compete over the weekend, with Brady Ruesser, Hana Smith, and Nathan Raatz competing in the University of St Francis (Ill.) Fighting Chance Invite. Action from Joliet will begin at 10 a.m.
